Rev David Meredith, Mission Director for the Free Church of Scotland will be the guest speaker for our launch events in May. Before taking up the post in 2015, David ministered at Smithton Free Church in Inverness. He has a keen interest in overseas mission and fostering links with projects in Africa, as well as serving as chairman of Affinity – a network of Gospel–minded churches across the UK.

This year we have 3 launch events planned.

Bangor Breakfast

This has become a regular feature of our Launch day events and is well supported by local clergy and their mission representatives. Worldwide uses the opportunity to introduce the programme for the 2020 Convention and talk about the range of events for all age groups. We will also be introducing our new initiative of inviting congregations to become Supporter Churches of Worldwide. More info is available here.

Belfast Breakfast

This event for local clergy and their mission representatives, is a new feature of Worldwide publicity Launch activities. While it is targeted at churches in the Greater Belfast area, it is open to all ministers / pastors who might be free to attend. We will use the opportunity to introduce the programme for the 2020 Convention and talk about the range of events for all age groups. We will also be introducing our new initiative of inviting congregations to become Supporter Churches of Worldwide. More info is available here.

Open Meeting

This event which is hosted by Hamilton Road Baptist Church, is open to all who have an interest is mission and who want to know more about the Convention and the programme for August 2020. The evening will include input from those “on the field”. More info is available here.
