New Initiatives
We undertake a number of new ventures each year and among those which are a 'first' this year are; our visit to the Assembly Buildings (The Spires) for our opening evening meeting – please pray for a good attendance especially of folk who may not have been to a Bangor Worldwide event before, our satellite event in Magherafelt – give thanks for the opportunity to take the message of Worldwide to a new area and for the energy of the local churches in publicising the meeting, and our Partnership Breakfast with CBMC – again pray that we will reach new people and that we would be able to draw in support for mission from a new quarter.
Chairmen and Worship Leaders
We will have our usual wide range of chairmen and worship leaders who perform very important roles in our evening meetings. Please pray that they will be led by the Holy Spirit as they prepare to make their individual contributions. Pray that those present will respond to the lead so that all our meetings will not just be informative but also that our worship will bring glory and honour to God.
Technical Support
Just as our chairmen/worship leaders contribute in a significant way to our meetings so too do those who sit unseen at the back providing technical support. They are only noticed when things go wrong! Please pray for Jonny Sanlon as he coordinates the various teams and that all will run smoothly so that there is no undue disruption to our meetings.
Publicity
Give thanks for the many people who have been distributing leaflets etc. and pray that all aspects of our publicity will be effective in getting our event known to a wide audience. Pray particularly that our use of social media will be effective in drawing in young people to our events.
Speakers
As well as taking part in the Convention, many of our speakers will also be involved on Sundays in services in local churches. Please pray that God would use these opportunities to speak to people who may not come to our meetings and awaken an interest in mission in them.
