Protestant Christian Fellowship Novi Sad is a church that seeks to be relevant to the local community and to respond to the needs of people in Serbia. The church used to work with war refugees but now many other ministries are developed: Rainbow Rehabilitation Centre for recovering addicts, Christian Scouts (Royal Rangers), Hand for a Friend (programme to help the homeless in Novi Sad). The goal is to help people in need, but also to point people to Jesus Christ. They have founded several churches in Serbia, and are currently in the process of founding several more.
Bera, and his wife Mirjana, who have two children, have been the national co-ordinators for the Alpha course in Serbia for many years. In the past few years, Bera has become more involved in environmental activism.
