Costel Cheptea

Costel Cheptea is  pastor of Emanuel Baptist church in Balti, Moldova. He is married to Sanda and they have four daughters all of whom by the grace of God are walking with the Lord and two are married.
He grew up in a Christian family during the communist period and they faced persecution. 
On 7 January 1992 he accepted Christ as his Lord and Saviour. 

He attended a Bible school in Oradea for 4 years obtaining a Bachelor of Divinity.

He began the work at Emanuel Baptist Church, Balti in 2006, and the Lord has grown the church to 350.  The Lord has used the church to plant in another 11 villages in the north of Moldova.

Since 2015 he has been working together in evangelism and church planting with Moldovan Mission. 

This year he has been released from many of his responsibilities as senior pastor at Emanuel, with the vision to be involved fully in planting new churches in Moldova, where there are more than a thousand villages without an evangelical church.
