Bob and Esther Fetherlin served for eight years as missionaries to Mali, West Africa, with The Christian and Missionary Alliance (The C&MA). They then led the Africa region for seven years before being asked to lead the international missions work of The C&MA, which they did for more than 15 years. As the Lord was prompting them to transition from that role, the opportunity to serve with One Mission Society was presented.
Bob’s heart was deeply moved as he read Missionary Warrior: Charles E. Cowman by Lettie B. Cowman, leading to a strong sense that God was calling them to OMS. This was affirmed by the OMS Board, and beginning July 1, 2014, Bob began serving as the President of OMS with Esther working alongside him. Bob and Esther are feeling tremendous joy in being part of the OMS family!
The Fetherlins have two adult children. Their son is married and serving in a creative access country with The C&MA. He and his wife have three young children. Their daughter and her husband, who have one child, work in emerging generation ministries at Princeton Alliance Church in Princeton, New Jersey.
Bob and Esther acknowledge with humility and dependence upon God that they have much to learn as they move forward in leadership of OMS. They have loved getting to know the OMS Headquarters team and OMS missionaries and partners. Their longing and prayer is that God will pour out His power and blessing on the work of OMS around the globe, giving much multiplying fruit that will last for eternity. For whatever part God uses Bob and Esther to further his work through OMS, they are humbly grateful, knowing that the glory of Christ is of greatest value.
