Though I grew up in the church, I did not care at all for spiritual things until the Lord changed my heart when I was 19, and I began to follow Jesus Christ.
I studied medicine, finishing my training in 1990. I love being a doctor, and using medicine to demonstrate the love and compassion of our Saviour, especially in places where He is not known.
The Lord called us (me, my wife Jennifer, and my 2 daughters) into missions through our involvement in Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, and the Urbana missions conferences. We joined AIM (Africa Inland Mission) in 1990, with a desire to reach Muslims with the saving love of Jesus. We have served in several locations in East Africa for the last 20 years, all of them creative–access nations, among Muslim people groups. These have been great years! Sometimes difficult and painful, sometime joyous and fruitful. The Lord has always led and been faithful to us, and we trust this will continue as we lead AIM.
