Earthquake in Taiwan

We have been following in prayer one of our speakers from last year after what has been a difficult return to work in Taiwan.

This is an extract from a recent email indicates that things are not getting any easier.

Just to let you know an earthquake hit today centered at Nantou to the south of Taichung but it was around a 5.. something in Taichung.

The Prayer center in Taiping had damage to one of the walls but the restaurant run by our Christian Neighbour, Su Lin, is a mess, the main wall at the front of the restaurant behind the kitchen has a huge crack from top to bottom (looking like the curtain in the temple) and there are even bigger cracks going up the stairs – apparently the upstairs is a mess too.

The downstairs walls are ones that she has had painted and they will need re–plastering and then repainting. Please pray for her as this is a huge blow to her having struggled to make the restaurant profitable these last few months. Whilst the damage is not structurally serious and the landlord should patch up the walls it is a big hassle.
