George studied Dutch and international law in The Netherlands. He practiced law for 15 years and served as senior lawyer in a court of law and assistant judge. He went to a Bible college and got actively involved in his church, mainly as a cell group leader, Bible study leader and preacher.
In 1998 George started travelling for Open Doors and two years later he was asked by the Dutch development base to serve as a volunteer area representative in the north of The Netherlands. From 1998 to 2008, he made about 20 Open Doors trips.
In 2008 Open Doors field office Middle East, North Africa, Egypt and Persian Speaking World (MEE) called George to join their team. He left his law career and joined Open Doors full time. Today George is serving as the MEE Director of International Strategic Relations, travelling a third of the year, to the Middle East and elsewhere.
