John worked in the police service for 16 years before leaving in 1989 to work with Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church heading up their Boulevard drop–in centre on Bangor’s seafront.
Since 1995 he has been Director of Night Ministry for the Presbyterian Church in Ireland and responsible for Nightlight since it started that year. He is married to Marilyn and they have four sons and one lovely adorable grand daughter. When he gets the time he enjoys hill walking and Formula One.
