Lynne is from Garvagh and has been working with AIM amongst ‘islanders’ since 1987 – first of all on the islands and then since 2004 in a major city in the south of France where there are more than 80,000 island immigrants.
She is involved in Bible translation into one of the island languages and helps at a Welcome Centre where the practical needs of immigrants seek to be addressed in conjunction with sharing the Gospel message.
She is part of a small AIM team reaching out to the island people while encouraging the local French churches to grasp the opportunity of sharing their faith with these island immigrants (as well as a huge number of other immigrants) who are now living in their community.
The islanders as well as many of the other immigrants are from another major world religion.
