Mark & Gillian Newham
Representing: UFM WorldwideFrom 1993-2023, Mark and Gillian walked alongside the Mongolians as God planted His church. They witnessed the dramatic growth of a first-generation church with a handful of believers to over 60,000. Working in a rural setting for 15 years, they helped develop a Business As Mission platform for young people in their town as well as encouraging the local church.
In 2012, they spent two years in Beijing before returning to Ulaanbaatar to be part of catalysing the fledgling cross-cultural missionary movement that was beginning to emerge from the Mongolian Church. During these years, Mark gained an MA in Theology and pastoral studies in 2012 from WEST in Bridgend (now Union), and a Doctoral degree (DIS) from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2022. In November 2023 they returned to the UK and have taken a new exciting role with UFM exploring how a traditional mission agency might walk alongside, to strengthen collaborative sending of missionaries from Majority-World churches.
