MWF Pay Tribute to Retiring Worldwide President
Mission Workers Fellowship is a group of mission workers who meet four times a year for fellowship and prayer in an informal way over coffee and tea.
The fellowship was originally called Mission Secretary’s Fellowship and was given the responsibility of organising the Bangor Worldwide Exhibition on behalf of the Bangor Worldwide Committee. Around 80 Societies from home and further afield usually exhibited during the week.
On hearing that Raymond Pitt was retiring as BWMC President, the MWF Committee thought it would be nice if on behalf of the Fellowship, they present a small token of thanks to him for his many years of support to the fellowship in prayer as many who man the stands each year know that Raymond had prayed for them.
We know that prayer is a vital part of Raymond’s life and also mission and we know that even as he stands down from a public role, prayer for mission will still play a big part in Raymond’s life.
We believe that Raymond epitomises the exhortation from James 5 v.16: “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” I am sure there are many on the mission fields today because Raymond Pitt has been praying for that Society, land or need for workers.
