OCTOBER 2022There is a chill in the air as we head into the autumn and so much to look back on the summer with thanks. Don’t forget to visit our podcast channel if you missed any events. DR HASSAN JOHN“Bangor Worldwide is a gift to the persecuted church” We were delighted to have Dr Hassan John with us. During his stay he was interviewed by Spirit Radio, and spoke of how important Bangor Worldwide is to Christians being persecuted all over the world: “The fact is, out there you don’t know what is going on - you feel alone, you feel oppressed, you don’t understand that there are other mission organisations praying, standing and interceding on your behalf. There are also people taking the risks to come and do projects and to see what is happening. I can say it is the only hope the churches in Nigeria can look up to - that we have brothers and sisters out there praying for us. Conferences like this are an amazing gift to the persecuted church! We are so, so grateful for the churches and people praying for us! Thank you.” MAJA LANGVADWe are used to our speakers being international but the award for the most travelled visitor goes to Maja from Denmark who attended Bangor Worldwide as part of her summer holidays. She is interested in global mission and discipleship and is currently training to be a midwife wanting to work in Africa when she graduates. BROTHER ANDREWBrother Andrew, the founder of Open Doors, has passed into glory aged 94. His ministry began with smuggling Bibles behind the Iron Curtain and in serving the underground church in communist China and establishing Open Doors in 1955. We give thanks for his ministry, vision and passion for Jesus, and pray for his family and friends in ministry who will grieve him most. POINTS FOR PRAYERCOMMITTEE
