Two short films produced by SAT7, A Dress Film and Braids, drew awards in two different film festivals, one in Egypt and one in Mauritania. We have one of our regular organising meetings at the end of the month.We would ask for your prayers as we finalise arrangements for our Launch, review any changes to the 2014 programme and begin to think about 2015....

Please continue to pray for the committee as we meet later this month to try to finalise plans for next years Convention.In particular we ask for prayer for the arrangements for the Waterfront Hall on the closing night.Pray also for discussions about our seminar programme with the various groups involved....

We provide accommodation for a number of our speakers each year and, for a variety of reasons, our list of volunteers has declined over the years.Please pray that others will come forward to fill the gaps and if you would be interested in answering that prayer please contact the Convention Secretary, Lesley Stewart....

Please pray for the main Committee as it meets on 8th December, that we will be guided as we deal with the many important items before us.One of these is how best to publicise our Waterfront event in 2014. Tickets go on sale from the beginning of December and we will need wisdom as to how to get the message out cost effectively....

We were privileged to have an audience with the Mayor during Convention Week this year!During theconvention week the committee and some of our speakers had the honour of attending a reception at Bangor Castle hosted by the Mayor of North Down,Councillor Peter Martin,during theconvention week....

We have planned our launch this year for Thursday 8th May and the invitations to this are being issued this week to local clergy, mission agency representatives and former missionaries.Please pray that these will not be ignored but that they will draw in a good response. Ministers / pastors are very busy people so it is particularly encouraging for us if they make the effort to attend....

Pastor of the Welcome Evangelical Centre in Belfast, Jonathan Clarke reflects on his experience at Bangor Worldwide 2014 and how he enjoyed connecting with those who attended.The Welcome Centre celebrated its 125th anniversary this year, founded by Millisle born Amy Carmichael, who went on to spend 56 years as a Missionary in India founding the Dohnavur Fellowship....

Continue to pray for Jonathan Sanlon, a member of our committee, who is currently filming in Irian Jaya for UFM.Pray that he, and all the party, will be kept safe and well and that their visit will be a real encouragement to those out in that particular mission field....

Open Doors UK Ireland, Bangor Worldwide Missionary Convention and Christianity Explored are delighted that Church Alive will take place again this year running (DV) each evening from 1st 4th May.The first meeting on Thursday 1st May, is in the Crescent Church in Belfast. Please pray for the Committee as it meets on the 8th September.Please remember them as they review the Convention and pray that God will give us insight into how He saw it rather than just our own opinions. We will also be looking at the programme for next years Convention and need prayer for wisdom in our planning....

Give thanks for a busy Convention 14.After a slow start on the opening Saturday, attendances at the evening meetings held up well throughout the week. Those present heard many challenging addresses and we would ask for prayer that there will be much fruit for the Kingdom as a result, in the weeks and months to come....

Canon Andrew White joined us at our 2012 Convention and has provided us with a bit of information on the current situation in Iraq.Dear Friends,Today I am due to leave for synod in Cyprus.
